At ISKCON Hadapsar, our Bhagavad-gītā activities are meant to help children, youth, and adults connect personally with Krishna’s teachings. Srila Prabhupāda often said, “The Bhagavad-gītā is perfect knowledge received from the perfect person.” This spirit guides all our Gītā programs — simple, practical, and open for everyone.

Bhagavad-gītā distribution is one of the most essential services in ISKCON. Srila Prabhupāda stressed it again and again: “Distributing books is our most important activity.” He explained why so strongly — “These books are the basis of our movement… If you give someone a book, he will be benefited eternally.” Even one line of the Gītā can transform a person, as he said: “Even if he reads one line, his life will be changed.”
At ISKCON Hadapsar, devotees follow this instruction with a humble spirit — giving the Gītā in neighborhoods, apartments, schools, offices, events, or simply to people they meet in daily life. Anyone can join — students, working professionals, parents, elders. No experience needed, just a sincere desire to share Krishna’s words.
Children and youth recite selected shlokas of the Gītā with pronunciation, confidence, and devotion. This competition helps them build memory, focus, and discipline. Many parents share that even learning a few verses brings calmness, clarity, and respect for spiritual culture.
Srila Prabhupāda said, “If you simply chant the verses of Bhagavad-gītā, your life will become sublime.” This event encourages exactly that — making the Gītā a living companion for young minds.
This is an engaging quiz based on the teachings, characters, and messages of the Gītā. It helps children and adults understand the scripture in a joyful, interactive way. The quiz makes learning easy — even those new to the Gītā can participate through simple question rounds.
Prabhupāda once said, “Understanding Bhagavad-gītā means understanding life.” Through this quiz, we try to plant that understanding early and joyfully.
A weekly gathering where devotees read one verse at a time, understand the meaning, and discuss how it applies to real life.
These circles are small and friendly, perfect for beginners. Srila Prabhupāda said, “Discuss Bhagavad-gītā amongst yourselves and learn the real purpose of life.” This program follows that exact instruction — learning together, growing together.
A special class for children where complex Gita concepts become simple stories, drawings, and fun activities.
Kids learn values like honesty, respect, courage, and gratitude through Krishna’s teachings. Parents often say this class improves their child’s behavior and focus at home and school. Prabhupāda wrote, “Train the children in Krishna consciousness from the very beginning.” This class is a gentle, joyful way to do that.
All Bhagavad-Gītā programs at ISKCON Hadapsar are free and open for everyone. Donations are voluntary. Our aim is to help families, children and youth experience the Gītā the way Srila Prabhupāda taught — with sincerity, joy and devotion.
